Added you as a friend with your link

Add a friend with a code, a link or a QR

Every Spenrol user gets a unique code. Share it on WhatsApp or anywhere else. When someone enters your code, you are added as friends.

You can share a link instead. When the other person taps it, you are added automatically.

Or show your QR code. They scan it with their phone’s camera app. If they have Spenrol, it opens and adds you as a friend. If they don’t, they land on the Google Play page.

Split equally, or set who pays what

Pick the people and Spenrol divides the bill equally: ₹1,800 between 4 people is ₹450 each, and your share is the big number at the top.

Switch to Amounts when it wasn’t even. Type your own part, ₹750 here, and the rest share what is left equally. Amounts you type stay fixed. “Split equally again” puts everyone back to an even split.

Friends who aren’t on Spenrol

Not everyone at the table has the app. Add them as guests so the headcount and the maths are right. Guests show as one line, marked “Not on Spenrol”.

How do I add a friend on Spenrol?

Share your unique code, your link or your QR code. If they enter the code, tap the link or scan the QR with their phone camera, you are added as friends. If they scan the QR without the app installed, they go to Google Play first.

Does my friend need Spenrol to be in a split?

To be added as a friend, yes. For a single bill, you can add people who are not on Spenrol as guests. They count in the split but don’t see it.

Can I split a bill unevenly?

Yes. Choose Amounts, type what each person pays, and the people you haven’t typed an amount for share the rest equally.

Does Spenrol move money between friends?

No. Spenrol is a budgeting app, not a bank, and does not process payments. You pay each other in your own UPI app.

Is it available on iPhone?

Not yet. Spenrol is on Google Play for Android. You can join the iPhone waitlist and get one email when it is ready.
